At 12:15 p.m. that day, fans will meet in the Power & Light District and march in a sea of orange to the FIFA FanFest at the World War I Memorial and Museum, led by the supporters’ iconic double-decker Orange Bus.

“That bus becomes the center of the party,” said Daniel Oordt, a Dutch fan known as “Oranje Suit Man” for his head-to-toe orange outfit.

The festivities at Power & Light will begin at 11 a.m., where the Orange Fan Team featuring Yuki, FeetDJRuud, Yves Berendse and artist JEA will deliver an entertainment program.

The Dutch football association estimates some 5,000 fans will travel to the U.S. for the team’s games, with another 5,000 North Americans with Dutch roots also planning to attend.

The Netherlands plays Japan in Arlington, Texas on June 14 and Sweden on June 20 in Houston.

Kansas City will be the site of four group-stage games, starting June 16 when defending champion Argentina meets Algeria.

The area is also the site of four base camps: those for the teams from the Netherlands, Argentina, England and Algeria.
